2. Now, insert your crochet hook into the magic ring on your fingers.

3. Using the hook, pull the second loop on your fingers through the first one and twist the crochet hook once.

Part 1: Make The Body Of The Cat (Step 2 to Step 11)

Step 2: Work Round 1 (Ch 1, 6 sc into the Mr, close the magic ring)

4. Ch 1.

5. Now, insert your crochet hook into the Mr.

Step 5: Work Round 4 ( {1sc, 1 sc, 1 inc} do total 6 times)

18. Work 1 sc into the first stitch of round 4. 

19. Work 1 sc into the 2nd stitch of round 4.

20. Do 1 inc into the 3rd stitch of round 4.

21. Continue Repeating instructions 18, 19, and 20 for rest of the round 4. That is, you will work one 1 sc in one stitch, 1 sc in the next stitch, and 1 inc into the 3rd next stitch. So, after working on all of the stitches (18 stitches) of round 3, at the end of round 4, you will have 24 scs.

Step 6: Work Round 5

22. Work 3 sc into the first 3 stitches of round 5 ( 1 sc into 1 stitch, so total 3 scs into 3 stitches). Remember to mark the first stitch with a stitch marker.

23. Do 1 inc into the 4th stitch of round 5.

24. Repeat instructions 22 and 23 of step 6 for rest of the round 5. ( 3 sc in 3 stitches, 1 inc into the 4th stitch). After repeating this pattern for 5 more times, you will have 30 stitches after round 5.

Step 7: Work Round 6 to 14 (1 sc in 1 stitch, total 30 stitches in each round)

25. Now, work 1 sc in 1 stitch throughout round 6 without any inc. Repeat doing this for round 6 to round 14. Remember to mark the first stitch of each round with a stitch marker and remove the marker when you finish that round.

Step 8: Work Round 15 (3 sc in first 3 stitches, 1 Dec in the next 2 stitches)

26. Work 3 sc into the first 3 stitches. Remember to mark the first stitch with a stitch marker.

27. Now, insert your hook into the next stitch and pull the yarn. With the yarn on the hook, insert the crochet hook into the next stitch and pull the yarn. At this stage, you will have 3 loops on the crochet hook. Pull through all of the 3 loops. It is our dec.

28. Continue doing instructions 26 and 27 repeatedly for the rest of round 15 ( 3 sc in to 3 stitches and then 1 Dec). At the end of this round, you will have 24 stitches.

Step 9: Work Round 16 ( 2 DC in 2 stitches, 1 Dec in the next 2 stitches)

29. Work 2 sc in the first two stitches in the round 16. Remember to mark the first stitch with a stitch marker.

30. Now, work one Dec into the next 2 stitches.

31. Continue working instructions 29 and 30 repeatedly for 5 more times to complete round 16 (2 scs into the first 2 stitches and 1 dec into the next 2 stitches). After completing this, you will have 18 scs in round 16.

Step 10: Fill The Inside With Polyester Stuffing Or Any Stuffing And Work Round 17 ({1 sc and 1 Dec} for 6 times)

32. Fill the inside of the half body of the cat. Then, work 1 sc into the first stitch of round 17. Mark that stitch with a stitch marker.

33. Do 1 dec in the next stitch.

34. Continue doing instructions 32 and 33 of step 9 repeatedly for 5 more times to complete round 17 ( 1sc in first stitch, 1 dec into the next 2 stitches).

Step 11: Work Round 18 (6 dec)

35. Now, insert the hook into first stitch and pull up a loop. Do it again for the second stitch. You will see 3 loops on the hook. Pull the crochet hook with yarn through all of the 3 loops. It is a dec. 

36. Repeat instruction 35 of step 10 5 more times to complete round 18. At the end, you will have only 6 stitches. Remember to leave a long tail to sew later. And now, the body of the little cat is ready!

37. Sew the last row to secure the cat’s body.

Part 2: Make the Ears Of The Cat [ Step 12 to 13]

Step 12: Make Ears For The Cat (slip knot, ch 2, {1 sc, 3 dc, 1 sc}, sl st) 

38. Make a slip knot.

39. Insert the crochet hook into the slip knot and pull the yarn to secure the knot. Work ch 2.

40. Skip the first stitch. Insert the crochet hook into the second chain and work 1 sc.

41. Work a double crochet into the same stitch. For this, yarn over, insert the crochet hook into the same stitch, and pull through the yarn. Then again yarn over, and pull the crochet hook through two loops. It is the frist double crochet.

42. Work 2 more dc into the same stitch.

43. Do one sc and sl st to secure the ear. If you want a pointy cat ear, pinch the top of the ear. Also, remember to leave a long tail to sew the ear.

44. Repeat instructions from 38 to 43 to make the other ear of the cat.

Step 13: Sew The Ears To The Crochet Cat’s Body

45. Now, using a darning needle, sew the cat ears to the body. Remember to sew them at the round 5 or round 6.

Part 3: Make The Tail (Slip knot, ch 10, sk 2, 8 hdc, slst)

46. Make a slip knot.

47. Attach the yarn to the back of the cat’s body. Try to make it on the middle. You do not need to measure it, just select the middle based on your perspective.

48. Now, ch 10.

49. Skip 2.

50. Do one hdc. For this, yarn over once, and insert the hook into the 3rd stitch from the hook. Yarn over and you will have 3 loops on the hook. Pull the hook through all the 3 loops. It is your one hdc.
